Assigning speed dials on a Blackberry is relatively easy, given that you know what to do.

Steps

1. Hold down any letter or number (except the number 1)
   
2. Press yes when the blackberry asks if you want to assign a speed dial. Select yes by clicking the track wheel or by pressing enter.
   
3. Select your contact (it brings you to your adress book) by clicking the track wheel.
   
4. Click the track wheel for the first option which should say something to the effect of, add speed dial to contact.
   
5. Select the number that you wish to use for the contact.(you can only use one.)
   

Tips

• Make sure the person you wish to assign a speed dial to is in the address book. It simplifies this.
  
• On some models you will have to hold the pound (#) key.
  
• To use a speed dial simply hold down the key you assigned the contact to and the phone will call that contact.
  
• To edit/change any existing Speed Dial numbers, from the phone application, choose "View Speed Dial List" & you can edit existing entries from there.
